Founded in 1980 by Sheikh Shahid Ahmad together with Shoaib Iqbal and named their brand Lattafa, inspired by the Arabic words "Latif," meaning "kindness," and "Lateefa," which can be translated as "pleasant." Both co-founders had a vision of creating high-quality, luxurious fragrances for local customers in the Middle East. However, the startup soon became a renowned company exporting worldwide, and three generations of the Sheikh family have continued the tradition. Today Lattafa is Dubai’s leading perfume brand and continues other bring the luxury and elegance of the Middle East to the rest of the world.
