How is it made?

Cacao beans are seeds of the broma cacao tree.

The seeds are found in the pods, which are split and the beans removed and dried. The husk is then removed from the bean, which when slightly crushed are called nibs.

Try them straight or sprinkle on bananas and dates for a healthy chocolate treat. Use to top smoothie bowls, add to trail mix or desserts. Top your baking like muffins, brownies and sweet breads. They can also be used in savoury dishes like salads or dips. The possibilities are endless for this crunchy antioxidant pick-me-up. Cacao nib's are also suitable for those following a raw food diet.
